Agricultural food processing and packaging has seen dramatic modifications in recent years due to incorporating nanotechnology into agri-food. This chapter investigates how nanotechnology can be used to improve the effectiveness, security, and sustainability of agricultural food processing and packaging techniques. A wide range of technologies and techniques made available by nanotechnology enables precision control at the nanoscale, revolutionizing numerous facets of the agri-food sector. This chapter explores nanomaterials, like nanoparticles and nanocomposites, to enhance food quality, extend shelf life, and decrease food waste. It also covers how nanosensors and nanodevices can be used to monitor food quality parameters in real time and guarantee the safety and freshness of agricultural products.
