Tips and Tricks in Post-hypospadias Repair Dressing
摘要
The surgical correction of male genital anomalies has seen progress in recent years, but choosing the right dressing remains challenging. The ideal dressing should provide mechanical protection against contamination and reduce edema caused by surgical trauma, while being easily removable and having minimal adverse reactions. The use of dressings is controversial due to the risk of pain and necrosis if applied too tightly. Different types of dressings have been attempted, but all have the potential to become contaminated and wet. Postoperative dressing is given to all patients who undergo hypospadias surgery in our clinic. In our clinic, a chlorhexidine gauze dressing followed by an elastic compression bandage is applied without tension.
