Repair of Subcoronal Fistula in Cases of Well-Healed Glans without Compromising the Glans

摘要

The most typical complication of hypospadias surgery is urethrocutaneous (UC) fistula. In patients with distal hypospadias repairs, coronal and subcoronal fistulas are the most common (Bhat and Mandal, Indian J Urol 24(2):241–248, 2008). It is frequently accompanied by glans dehiscence and necessitates redo distal hypospadias surgery, but occasionally the glans is attractive and the urethral opening is well-positioned and slit. In these instances, we wish to repair the fistula without causing damage to the glans or distal urethral tube. In this video chapter, we describe our subcoronal fistula repair technique with glans and distal urethra preservation.
