Harvest of Ventral Dartos Flap for Second Coverage of Urethroplasty
摘要
Neourethra dartos flap coverage is frequently employed as a protective layer for improved postoperative problems, particularly fistula development. Although several forms of dartos flaps have been developed, only the dorsal and ventral dartos flaps (VDF) have gained widespread recognition for use in distal and midshaft hypospadias correction. Concerning the most appropriate covering flap approach in terms of complication rates in distal hypospadias treatment, there is still some dispute. We here show the key steps to harvest and fix the ventral dartos flap.
