Deep Transverse Incisions of Tunica Albuginea (DTITA) Repair for Severe Ventral Penile Curvature

Severe ventral penile curvature continues to be challenging to treat. The objective of this chapter is to demonstrate ventral transverse incisions of the external shell of tunica albuginea repair. In cases of proximal hypospadias in which the spongiosa bifurcation is below the pubic bone or the penile curvature is greater than 45 degrees, a staged preputial graft repairs (SPG) may be used. Deep transverse incisions in the tunica albuginea at the penis’s maximal curvature (DTITA) is an efficient treatment for moderate to severe chordee.
