Liquid Biopsy in the Future of Glioma Diagnosis and Treatment Occupies a Key Position

The journal MIT Technology Review listed liquid biopsy of malignant tumors as one of the top ten breakthrough technologies in 2015, as it allows for rapid and simple screening for most tumors. While liquid biopsy is primarily based on a simple blood test, it can also be extended to other body fluids, such as cerebrospinal fluid and urine. This enables the monitoring of tumor changes repeatedly and dynamically, as well as the establishment of gene expression profiles of tumors. Additionally, liquid biopsy can guide targeted drug therapy and predict efficacy, making it possible to develop individualized treatment strategies in real-time.
