  • Jinsong Wu

摘要

The neuro-oncology multidisciplinary team (MDT) is a crucial organizational structure for providing evidence-based and personalized treatment for central nervous system neoplasms. MDTs are particularly effective for the treatment of complex gliomas that cannot be managed through routine therapy. The primary goal of MDT is to offer patient-centered, one-stop allied medical services that integrate the expertise of multidisciplinary teams in neuro-oncology. MDTs include core members such as neurosurgery, neuroimaging, neuropathology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, neurology, molecular pathology, hematology, endocrinology, neuropsychology, neurorehabilitation, clinical nursing, biospecimen banking, case room, hospice, and others, organized based on the disease stage and guided by critical clinical problems.
