Myopia Prevention and Control Has Far-Reaching Significance as Is a Great Mission
摘要
Myopia is a worldwide disease of high prevalence. In 2016, The Lancet’s statistics on 328 common diseases showed that the number of hospital visits caused by myopia each year ranked seventh among all disease types, and Myopia is the second most common cause of disability (blindness). The problem of myopia is particularly serious in China, with 40% of the population (about 600 million people) suffering from myopia, and more than 300,000 people suffering from low vision or even blindness due to complications of high myopia.
