Introduction: Innovation in Sports Equipment in Italy and France
摘要
Innovation can be defined as the commercialization of new ideas and new technologies that are implemented through good strategy. It constitutes how companies transform ideas into products or services, implement new processes, or improve existing ones, in order to advance and differentiate themselves in the market (Baregheh et al., 2009), taking advantage of identified opportunities (Tidd & Bessant, 2020). Moreover, innovation represents the end result of a systemic and dynamic process that is constantly triggered by technological and economic changes and available resources (Sciarelli, 2008). For this reason, we can speak of technological innovation in which technology represents the set of techniques, scientific knowledge, and engineering skills used in the processes of making new products or services (Sciarelli, 2008), aimed at improving both concretely and abstractly human living conditions. Technological innovation is a key factor in a company’s competitive success: either to have leadership or to recover conditions of competitive disadvantage (Schilling & Izzo, 2022).
