In this paper, we analyzed the energy expenses of the BVRIT campus distribution grid for one year. The campus load mainly relies on the main grid supply and supported by photovoltaic (PV) setup, with a capacity of 440 kWp and two backup diesel generators. Recently, the authors developed a campus energy monitoring system to track load demand patterns and assess how much energy the PV system contributes to meet the campus energy consumption. However, this study primarily analyzes the energy cost of the campus distribution grid and provides insights to minimize overall energy usage expenses. We collected data for a year from May 2022 to June 2023 to achieve this goal. Our findings have generated recommendations for reducing overall energy expenses.

摘要
