Short Circuit and Harmonics Analysis of IEEE 8 Bus Transmission Systems Using DIgSILENT Power Factory
摘要
The global increase in the load is very critical issue to meet the energy gap between generation and demand; which create various problems in the system such as security concerns, transient stability problems, and protection issues within power system operations. Load flow calculations for the Transmission Network (TN) are performed using DIgSILENT software. This work has been successfully implemented on an 8-bus IEEE system with short-circuit analysis and harmonic analysis approach in DIgSILENT. This approach encompasses harmonic analysis, voltage profile, reactive power loss, active power loss, and short-circuit parameters (apparent power, initial short-circuit current, transient current, peak short-circuit current, symmetrical short-circuit breaking current, peak short-circuit breaking current, steady-state short-circuit current). The impact of short-circuit parameters and harmonics on power systems has been effectively analyzed.
