Elderly Acceptance of Virtual Character Exercise Videos
摘要
This study explores the differences in elderly individuals’ acceptance of virtual character exercise videos compared to real-person exercise videos. Through a designed questionnaire, the study evaluates the elderly participants’ reactions to aspects such as attractiveness, importance, and interest of the two types of videos. The results reveal that real-person exercise videos are significantly preferred, as they are easier for elderly individuals to understand and follow, enhancing their perceived importance and relevance. While novel and entertaining, virtual character videos need to improve in realism. Nonetheless, virtual media demonstrates significant potential to engage the elderly through its innovative and interactive elements. These insights highlight the critical necessity of developing user-friendly and relatable virtual content to facilitate technological adaptation and improve the overall well-being of the elderly population.
