Generative Artificial Intelligence to Enhance the Sustainability of Traditional Crafts: The Case of Ceramic Teapots

摘要

This study aims to investigate the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in enhancing the sustainability of traditional craft products, using ceramic teapots as a case study. Through an analysis of the Qualia attributes and cultural connotations of ceramic cultural and creative products, a cognitive space was constructed using Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) to explore the similarity and distribution of characteristics among the artworks. The results indicate that artworks generated by GAI received higher scores in public evaluations, demonstrating greater acceptance. Through multiple regression analysis, it was found that GAI effectively extracts cultural elements and transforms them into design elements, creating ceramic cultural and creative products with Qualia. This study provides valuable insights into the status and trends of traditional craft products in contemporary society, which is crucial for their sustainability.
