Applying Design Puzzle and Kansei Analysis to Analyze the Emotional Factors in the Bionic Modeling Wooden Toy Design Process by Designers
摘要
Design is a process where designers apply their experience and knowledge to solve problems. The psychological feelings, emotions, and other Kansei (sensibility) factors that arise during this process indirectly influence the design behavior patterns and the final design outcomes. This research aims to understand designers’ Design Puzzles and Kansei sensibilities. Through a qualitative case study using an experimental approach, it utilizes the Design Puzzle framework and Kansei logic within digital media design to analyze whether a designer’s design behaviors and Kansei factors have any relevant influences. The results show that designers tend to experience positive emotions during the requirement confirmation, conceptual design, and implementation stages, but face obstacles and negative feelings during task analysis, embodiment, and detailed design stages. This revealed many latent needs and issues, which proved highly helpful for improving the design process. It also provided new perspectives and directions for Kansei study.
