Improved Single-Phase UPQC Based on Capacitively Coupled Voltage Quality Controller

This section introduces a new topology of UPQC, which has an LC filter coupled with an external capacitor at the VQC part. Compared with the conventional UPQCs, the IUPQC can well reduce the power rating of back-to-back connected converters from both parallel and series sides.
