The second type of DF-VQC described in this section can operate in two main modes: short-circuit fault current-limiting mode and voltage fluctuation compensation pattern. It is mainly through the strategic control of the braking chopper circuit together with the anti-shunt thyristor to achieve a variety of functions, such as the ability to limit fault current.
