Dual-functional Voltage Quality Controller Based on Filter Inductor Multiplexing

This section proposes a new DF-VQC concept. The new topology uses a crowbar bidirectional thyristor switch across the output terminals of a conventional back-to-back VQC. The design methodology of the proposed FCL-VQC is fully discussed based on the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation.
