The global water crisis is ramping up the need for innovative and sustainable solutions. Nanotechnology has opened up some exciting paths for dealing with water pollution problems, thanks to its unique features at the nanoscale. This chapter hones in on advanced nanomaterials, focusing on their synthesis and application in water purification. It explores a bunch of materials like graphene-based nanomaterials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), carbontubes (CNTs), silver nanoparticles, and other metal oxides (ZnO, and TiO2) to demonstrate their potential in removing pollutants from water.
