Ceramic Liner Fracture

The fracture of ceramic parts of hip arthroplasty is one of the serious complications of total hip arthroplasty (THA). The ceramic fragments can not only cause local symptoms but also lead to severe abrasion of metal components, which results in increased serum ion concentration and serious systemic complications such as lower extremity edema, renal dysfunction, and cardiac failure.
