摘要

Robotic-assisted revision total hip arthroplasty (rTHA) is quite a newly described procedure. The original intention was to improve the precision of implantation in order to reduce the complication rate and improve postoperative outcomes via surgical robots. In view of this, we have preliminarily practiced with more than 100 Mako robotic-assisted rTHAs since mid-2019 with the support of the Mako specialist team. Since revision was not an approved indication of the Mako system, it was not equipped with revision modules in terms of either hardware or software, and little previous work on the Mako system in rTHA was reported in the literature. This work was entirely exploratory.
