Changsha: The PuDong of Western China Through Regional Synergy and Technological Innovation
摘要
South-central China’s Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, is a city rich in cultural and historical significance (Xu & Zhang, 2017). One of the oldest cities in the nation, Changsha is tucked away along the banks of the Xiang River and has a history spanning more than 3,000 years. With a rich history, the city has seen many changes, from its early days as a major hub during the Zhou Dynasty to its status as a crucial urban hub in modern China. Changsha is a significant center of culture and commerce that has long served as a hub for regional growth (Bai et al., 2017). The city’s rich cultural legacy, which includes its status as a hub for Confucian studies and a major force behind the spread of traditional Chinese art forms, is a testament to its historical importance. Landmarks like the Song Dynasty-established Yuelu Academy embody the city’s scholarly legacy and dedication to intellectual advancement.
