Introduction
摘要
The investigation into the phenomenon of metaphor enjoys a rich historical legacy (Mukhtar et al. in Int J Trend Sci Res Dev, 2017). Aristotle, a seminal figure in this scholarly discourse, posited that metaphor serves as a cognitive mechanism prompting individuals to discern non-apparent shared attributes among disparate phenomena (Aristoteles and Cooper in The rhetoric of Aristotle. Appleton, 1932). In alignment with his proposition, metaphor is analogized to a solar eclipse, concealing the target domain while concurrently illuminating salient and captivating facets when scrutinized through a discerning lens (Paivio and Walsh in Metaphor and thought. Cambridge University Press, pp. 307–342, 1993).
