The midface, which is located between two parallel lines drawn through the nasion and subnasale, makes up the central third of the face (Fig. 33.1). Midface is the most significant and dynamic part of the face and is regarded as a structural foundation for a youthful-looking face. When one wants to recreate a youthful face, one typically starts with treating the midface first even if the patients wants a chiseled jawline.
