Certain peptides, including ECM-Derived Peptides, BMP-Derived Peptides, and Other Peptides, can promote and accelerate the bone recovery process. Peptide structure alteration may enhance antibacterial, proangiogenic, and immune-modulating activities. Proteins are constructed from amino acids. Polar and charged amino acids (AAs) are ubiquitous in non-collagenous peptides and play a role in the activation of bone. The importance of growth variables in bone regeneration has long been acknowledged. Growth factors are a type of polypeptide hormone that stimulates a variety of biological activities, including cell growth, chemotaxis differentiation, and ECM protein creation. They also control the creation and function of local factors that have an immediate impact on cellular metabolism (autocrine and paracrine actions).
