The current study analyzes the process and evaluation of the effects of green servitization on the sustainability of the pharmaceutical industry. Studies have shown that high costs are involved in manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry, leading to high total expenses. This arises because the industry is facing enormous sanctions in the form of monetary costs from the government, which consequently affects its overall sustainability. Major indices show that many pharmaceutical manufacturing firms are challenged by not taking proactive measures to mitigate the environmental pollution arising from unsustainable production materials, leading to considerable waste and high costs of production. Considering this problem, the current study performs an extensive review of st udies on environmental and operational management to identify contributing dematerialized materials that cause large amounts of pollutants in the pharmaceutical industry. The findings show that implementing a green servitization strategy in the process and evaluation of pharmaceutical production will improve and enable them to reduce production costs by reversing the logistics of materials at the end of their life, thus increasing sustainability. In conclusion, the outcome of the current study could serve as a platform for educating and creating awareness of the importance of promoting the benefits of green servitization practices in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to achieve sustainability.
