Challenges in Social Work for Child Poverty Alleviation

Family plays a crucial role in children’s socialization. The survival and development of children depend primarily on the family, and the family’s socioeconomic status is directly related to the access of resources for children’s growth. With the establishment of children's subjectivity and self-rights, impoverished children are gradually regarded as a special group affected by poverty, and child poverty is seen as a social issue related to family poverty and adult poverty with its own specificity and complexity.
