摘要

Evaluating student engagement in collaborative learning activities is crucial for educators. Conventional methods of monitoring student engagement often rely on subjective judgment and may overlook subtle behaviors exhibited by individual students. This study proposes a comprehensive attention scoring model that assesses students’ attention status from two main dimensions: concentration and engagement. The model uses eye-tracking technology to capture gaze locations and durations on specific elements within a learning environment, providing insight into how students allocate their attention during group work and identifying instances when their focus deviates from the task at hand. The model is designed to quantify students’ attention status and guide them to enhance concentration and participation through appropriate reward and punishment mechanisms, offering teachers more accurate and valuable feedback on learning status. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of the model in assessing student attention and engagement in collaborative learning settings, highlighting the potential for personalized teaching approaches and enhanced student learning outcomes.
