This chapter critically evaluates the journey of Qatar towards implementing inclusive education for children with disabilities, taking into account how this affects its adherence to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In this context, the report outlines the legal framework, regulations, and practices that are in place in support of inclusive education and identifies the barriers that remain challenging in terms of implementation. The article most importantly highlights Qatar's legislative strides and policy innovations designed to foster educational equity, focusing on the evolution from specialised schooling to integrated educational frameworks. The narrative excellently captures the huge mileage the nation has covered to expand access and improve educational practice for children with disabilities, through the establishment of special institutions and coordinating national strategy. Despite making significant strides, the chapter also describes several of the continuing challenges that remain, such as programme limitations for students, diagnostic difficulties, and lack of support structures. Second, it has shown the complexity involved in transitioning from partial to fully inclusive educational systems and the need for sustained commitment, research, and policy refinement as long as progress is occurring. In conclusion, the chapter acknowledges Qatar's leadership in promoting inclusivity and calls for continued effort in addressing gaps and ensuring that education is made accessible and equitable to all children.
