Privatisation plays a significant role in the education system in Qatar, as approximately 334 private schools are functional in the country, serving around 40.2% of Qatari students and 72% of non-Qatari students. This rapid growth of private education in Qatar has sparked apprehensions regarding the potential implications and ramifications of the private school market in the country. Considering this perspective, the present chapter consolidates the existing scholarly research to illustrate the effects and difficulties associated with private educational institutions on accessibility, educational outcomes, and the preservation of cultural heritage in Qatar. Several suggestions are proposed for the prospective trajectory of private education.
