In this chapter, the interfacial agglomeration between two solid inclusions in the molten steel was theoretically analyzed by deriving the free energy during touching of the two inclusions. The agglomeration mechanism, the activation state, the stable state, the equilibrium state for the agglomeration, and the critical condition for the generation of the steady cavitation between the two solid inclusions were calculated and discussed. The effect of the composition and size difference of inclusions on their agglomeration was quantitatively analyzed.

摘要

In this chapter, the interfacial agglomeration between two solid inclusions in the molten steel was theoretically analyzed by deriving the free energy during touching of the two inclusions. The agglomeration mechanism, the activation state, the stable state, the equilibrium state for the agglomeration, and the critical condition for the generation of the steady cavitation between the two solid inclusions were calculated and discussed. The effect of the composition and size difference of inclusions on their agglomeration was quantitatively analyzed.
