Natural Product-Based Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections
摘要
Antibiotic use has resulted in the emergence of multidrug-resistant, rendering even the most effective medications ineffective. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the second most prevalent infectious ailment, impacting about 150 million individuals globally annually. These represent a substantial clinical and economic burden linked to a decline in patient quality of life. UTIs are a public health risk in both community and hospital environments. The development of innovative treatments to treat drug-resistant infections is urgently needed. Alternative therapies include using antibiotics alone or in conjunction with phytocompound, or lead phytocompound, which is the call of the day. The search for novel phytocompounds as potential antibacterial candidates will be inspired by this updated compilation.
