Integration of Renewable Energy in Buildings
摘要
The integration of renewable energy technologies in buildings is a crucial strategy for achieving sustainable and energy-efficient built environments. This paper explores the various renewable energy technologies, including solar photovoltaic systems, solar thermal applications, biomass energy, and geothermal heat pumps, and examines their applicability across different building typologies. We discuss the evolution of buildings in response to climate change imperatives, emphasizing the shift toward energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption. Through a detailed renewable energy integration Matrix, we identify the optimal technologies for residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, and assembly buildings. The paper also highlights the role of green building rating systems in enhancing building efficiency and presents case studies demonstrating the practical benefits of renewable energy integration. By providing comprehensive insights and actionable recommendations, this research underscores the potential of renewable energy to transform the built environment and contribute to global sustainability goals.
