Electromagnetism and Special Relativity

This chapter presents a short overview of the main concept of electromagnetism that will be used later in the book. Specific attention is given to the problem of radiation emission by an accelerated charge. The concept of dispersion relation is introduced and illustrated for the case of radio waves reflection by the ionosphere. The last part of the chapter presents an introduction to special relativity.
