Toroidal Magnetic Confinement
摘要
Plasmas are confined by magnetic fields generated by a system of coils and by the plasma itself. In this chapter a simple introduction to the basic concepts of toroidal equilibrium is given. The expression of the magnetic field generated by the main components (wires, coils, solenoids) is derived. The large aspect ratio limit is introduced.
