Challenges of IR in Deranged Liver and Renal Functions
摘要
Proper preparation of the patient is of utmost importance prior to any intervention procedure. This includes taking a history of any chronic disease, not just of the disease entity under focus, for which the intervention has been planned but also any chronic liver, renal, or cardiac disease. The aim of the evaluation is to identify factors that may lead to various complications. In this chapter, we will discuss the issues and challenges that intervention radiologists may face in a patient with chronic underlying hepatic or renal dysfunction and the ways to combat them.
