Interventional radiologists now routinely perform spinal procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, leveraging advancements in technology that have introduced innovative and effective approaches to managing spinal conditions with improved safety and outcomes. Modern spinal interventions rely heavily on imaging guidance to ensure precise needle placement, real-time monitoring, and the protection of adjacent critical structures. Osteoporotic vertebral fractures, for example, have transitioned from being treated with open vertebroplasty to minimally invasive percutaneous techniques, reflecting the evolution of care in this field.
