摘要

Interventional radiology has emerged as an integral adjunct to nonoperative management of traumatic solid organ and vascular injuries, which can mitigate life-threatening hemorrhage and the need for surgical interventions1. The primary aim is to secure the hemostasis on time either by operative or nonoperative management, depending on the hemodynamic status of the patient; hence patient selection and timing of the procedure are crucial factors in determining the success of the interventional procedure. The imaging protocols and management decisions strictly adhere to AAST guidelines for acute trauma.
