Image Guidance in Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology (IR) refers to minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, which are performed under image guidance. Advances over the last few decades have widened the scope of interventional radiology to provide advanced therapeutic procedures in various pathologies. With the availability of image guidance software and advanced hardware, further refinements in techniques have been achieved with lesser operator dependence [2].
