Since the COVID-19 got declared as a pandemic [1], healthcare systems across the globe has focused on containing the spread of the disease and also management of the cases [2]. Despite all the efforts to limit morbidity and mortality, the massive rise in cases has exhausted the entire health system. Beyond any public health interventions, based on very limited understanding, several drugs have been considered as treatment modality for SARS-CoV-2 infection [2, 3]. The present case study deals with generating evidence on treatment regimens and their contribution in changing global policy.
