摘要

Artificial intelligenceArtificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way healthcare is accessible in India; healthcare organizations have collected huge datasets from various fields, which includes visual data and information on clinical experimentations and related data. Some of the obvious factors which hinders the wider adoption in healthcare continue to be difficulty in collection and accessibility, privacy concerns, misuse and regulatory ambiguity. The aim of this study is to investigate the perception of this very important group about AI in healthcare and the influence of digital affinity and socio-demographic factors. A cross-sectional study was conducted using a paper survey with patients and their companions. The primary data was collected by a well-structured questionnaire prepared by the authors. The primary data were analyzed using machine learningMachine learning algorithms on both raw and engineered data to test the potential of the variables in predicting consumer's perceived value of AI in day-to-day healthcare operations. The model predicts the consumer’s acceptability with overall accuracy of 85% with high sensitivity of 88%. The result depicts high acceptability of AI for minor health issues, whereas for prolonged healthcare, consumers are still relying on human intervention over AI-enabled services.
