Intelligent Systems for Medical and Elderly Care Combination

Integrated medical and care is the latest concept proposed in the twenty-first century, which represents the newest direction of development in China’s elderly care service industry. The integrated medical and care intelligent system can effectively assist in the implementation of integrated medical and care policies and promote the sustainable development of China’s elderly care service industry. This chapter is divided into four parts. Firstly, it introduces the concepts and development history of integrated medical and care and integrated medical and care intelligent systems. Secondly, it presents the main unit modules of the integrated medical and care intelligent system, including remote consultation, health education, community care, and other functions. Next, it introduces the key technologies of the integrated medical and care intelligent system, including adaptive human–computer interaction technology, elderly health assessment technology, etc. Finally, it analyzes the Zhejiang Elderly Care Hospital as an example of the integrated medical and care system.
