With the ever-expanding campuses and complex building layouts in modern educational institutions, navigating through large indoor spaces can be challenging for students, staff, and visitors alike. Traditional navigation tools often fall short of providing intuitive, real-time guidance for indoor areas. In recent years, augmented reality has made significant strides in the field of navigation, fundamentally transforming the way people interact with their surroundings and find their way from point A to point B. In this chapter, we present a novel approach to interior navigation on campus that makes use of augmented reality and the capabilities of smartphones to deliver an engaging and dynamic navigational experience. This new augmented reality tool, called Campus Compass, is intended to transform direction and navigation on college campuses. The suggested augmented reality navigation system combines campus maps, location information, and route-planning algorithms to produce dynamic, context-aware directions. It also entails creating a real-time navigation system that takes into account the occupancy of the classrooms, seminar halls, and laboratories in accordance with the timetables.
