Axiology of Nationalism

EthicsEthics and aestheticsAesthetics, the two cardinal axes, which we chose to call ‘axiology’, had guided Tagore’s creativity, thought, and action. In this chapter, let us explore how it evolved his notion and understanding of nationalism. Since, aesthetically speaking, his creative world is huge and diverse, it is rather a challenging task to strain off the ‘surplus’ from this diverse and mixed basket and find out the main ingredients of his concept of nationalism.
