Axiology of Ecology

In 1962, a book came out in the United StatesUnited States (USA) that shocked the nation with its depiction of a dark and perilous future of the earth in the days ahead. The book, Silent Spring continues to warn the generations not only of America, but of the whole world. And the author, Rachel CarsonCarson, Rachel, a marine biologist, became an overnight celebrity as the founder of Deep Ecology, an environmental philosophy and social movement based on the belief that humans must radically change their relationship to nature from one that values nature solely for its usefulness to human beings to one that recognises that nature has an inherent value.
