Axiology of Justice and the Question of Rural Reconstruction
摘要
After a journey through the political philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore, it may be argued that State and Power (in the conventional sense) did not matter much for him as Society and Justice did. But he seldom used the word ‘Justice’ or nyay in his texts. Rather he frequently used the word ‘Dharma’ (in most of the cases, not as religion), which, interchangeably meant ‘Justice’, ‘Morality’, ‘Inner-nature’, etc. It is in this sense of Justice as ‘Dharma’ that I will propose to get a glimpse of Tagore’s concept of Justice.
