Socialist-Edu Movement: Political Discourse Between State and Farmers
摘要
The socialist educational movement was led by the state under the leadership of the Communist Party of China to educate farmers on socialist thought. It was a top-down political process. In the process of implementation, farmers also had their own understanding and expression of opinions. This process was mainly focused on the economic issues of rural cadres in this study, that is, the latter “Four Clean-ups” Campaign. From this, the movement rose to the height of national political discourse, directly entering policy documents. Later, the “Four Clean-ups” Campaign gradually developed, with political thought as the main focus. This development process constituted a typical interactive construction model of political discourse.
