Plate boundary metamorphic schists contain characteristic features formed by slow to rapid shear slip deformation in the very wide range of space and time scales. Shear crack jog on the slip surface of which size and spacing range from 10–3 to 103 mm and growth velocity do from 10–3 to 103 mm/s. Then, the grain growth of metamorphic minerals in the growing jog volume filled with aqueous fluid takes place in the very fast to very slow velocity because of various oversaturation degrees. On the other hand, the jog on the shear crack surface behaves as the vamp of the slip interface at the seismic and aseismic slippage of the plate boundary zones. The periodically arrayed jog seems to be source of the non-volcanic tremor associated with slow slip event and low frequency seismic slip. It seems that the background oscillation of the earth in the range of 10–3–10–4 Hz may be derived from the resonance seismicity of vamp oscillators with very slow slip and plate subduction slip.
