Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming business, communication, healthcare, and industries, and education is no exception. AI offers a range of tools and applications that have the potential to revolutionize the way we teach and learn (Popenici & Kerr, 2017). One particularly promising area is the development of Intelligent Tutoring Systems. It has long been recognized that traditional classrooms often struggle to cater to individual student needs. Many teachers face challenges with class size, rigid curriculum, and limited ability to provide individual attention to the students. The advancement of AI in recent years can bridge this gap. Intelligence tutoring systems leverage AI techniques like machine learning to create adaptive learning environments. These systems can assess a student's knowledge level, identify learning gaps, and deliver targeted instruction accordingly. This personalized approach allows students to progress at their own pace and master concepts as they progress through the lesson. The benefits of intelligent tutoring systems extend beyond individual learning. AI can analyze vast datasets of student performance data to identify common learning difficulties within a class or cohort. This allows teachers to adjust their teaching strategies to address these challenges more effectively (Guilherme, 2019). Additionally, AI can automate tasks like grading test questions, freeing up valuable teacher time for interaction with students.
