Extreme Value Problems
摘要
The extreme value problems in natural world are quite common, such as distribution of electric charge on a spherical shell, distribution of electric current in an electric circuit, ground state energy of hydrogen atom, energy method in elastoplastic mechanics, least action principle, etc. In this chapter, we will show the consequences of extreme value problems being the basic physical rules in nature in viewpoint of physics, and the essence of extreme value problems spontaneously exhibiting group behavior of the system and the synergetic actions among all constituent parts.
