School Education generally consists of key elements as: person (including principals, teachers, students, parents, etc.), property (including school buildings, school funding, infrastructure, etc.), information (including courses, teaching materials, etc.), structure (including systems, culture, etc.). As the most important element in school education, teachers and students get the most attention from Prof. Gu Mingyuan. He calls on community to respect teacher and pay attention to education, and mentioned a number of times that the greatest joy of his life was that he secured professional on-job master degree for front-line teachers. He actively participated in national policy-making, offers advices to promote development of teacher. Despite his senior age, he is still visiting schools throughout the country, providing valuable advices for front-line teachers.
